Moreta doesn't have a peer-to-peer (Moreta-to-Moreta) transfer feature — you can't move balance from your wallet to another person's Moreta wallet. But there are still two ways to get money to a friend.
Option 1 — Scan their local bank QR code (fastest)
If your friend is in a supported country, they can show you the QR code for their local bank account, and you can pay it the same way you pay any merchant:
-
Open Moreta and tap to scan a QR code.
-
Scan your friend's local bank account QR code.
-
Enter the amount and review the details.
-
Slide to confirm.
The payment goes straight to their bank account in their local currency. This works wherever Moreta payments are live — currently the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia. (In mainland China, Moreta supports WeChat (Weixin) merchant QR payments only, so the bank-QR option doesn't apply there.)
Option 2 — Withdraw to your bank, then send
If your friend isn't in a supported country, withdraw from Moreta to your own bank first (Settings → Transfers → Withdrawal), then send it to them through your bank as you normally would.
Remember: withdrawals can only go back to a bank account you've previously deposited from (unless you're on the new Transfers experience — see withdrawing to a different bank account).
💡 Tips
-
You're paying your friend's bank QR, not "sending to their Moreta" — there's no receive feature on Moreta.
-
Double-check the name and amount before you slide to confirm. QR payments are final.
