Payment fees in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia

Last updated on Jun 02, 2026

Moreta keeps fees transparent at checkout. For payments in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia, you'll see the full amount and any transaction fee on the review screen before you slide to pay.

Exchange rate

Your USD wallet balance is converted to local currency (BRL, ARS, PEN, or BOB) using the live mid-market rate — the same approach described in What exchange rate does Moreta use?.

Transaction fees

  • QR payments in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia have a 1.5% transaction fee on each payment — the same rate as Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, and Mongolia in Understanding Moreta's Transaction Fees.

  • The full amount and fee appear on the review screen before you slide to pay — always review the summary before confirming.

Thailand and Cambodia (for comparison)

  • Thailand — paused for all users since 1 June (Exception: US or Canada passport holders); fee tiers differ for business vs personal Thai QR when available.

  • Cambodiapaused; an older fee list may still mention Cambodia — payments there are not live.

💡 Tips

  • No hidden FX markup beyond the bank spread described in our exchange-rate article.

  • Deposits and withdrawals have separate fee articles under Deposit funds and Withdraw funds.
