In Argentina, Moreta lets you pay merchants by scanning their local QR code — the standard way many shops, cafés, and services accept digital payments.
Before you pay
-
Add money to your Moreta wallet first (card, bank, or crypto). Balances are in USD.
-
Keep the app updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
Steps at checkout
-
Open Moreta and tap to scan a QR code.
-
Point your camera at the merchant's QR (counter display, printed sign, or payment app screen).
-
Enter the amount in Argentine pesos (ARS) when prompted.
-
Check the merchant name and total, including the 1.5% transaction fee.
-
Slide to confirm the payment.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Scan won't read | Clean the camera lens, increase brightness, try again closer to the code |
| Payment declined | Check wallet balance; retry after updating the app |
| Amount looks wrong | Cancel and rescan; confirm the ARS amount with the merchant |

💡 Tips
-
Each QR payment has a 1.5% transaction fee — see Understanding Moreta's Transaction Fees.
-
QR payments are final once confirmed — double-check the amount with the merchant first.
-
Need to pay someone directly? Scan their bank QR if they're in a supported country (see send money to a friend).
